Pakistan – The Land of All Seasons

Pakistan is situated just at the right place for varying climatic conditions and nature has bestowed it with an exclusive quality that one can have all four seasons at the same time in Pakistan. Entering Karachi, at any time of the year, one would feel almost the same sort of weather that is associated with almost all coastal cities of the world. The weather is a little humid during the winter season and the cool sea breeze keeps the temperature low during the summer season. Moving North the Sindh province remains extremely hot during the summer season and pleasantly cold the winter season.

The plains of Punjab give a perfect combination of heat and cold in all seasons and all these seasons just add to the fertility of this food depot of the country. Lahore has both the extreme hot weather in the summer season with temperature reaching as high as 46 degrees Celsius while the same city gets a temperature of -2 degrees in the winters. Monsoon rains make the plains of Punjab fertile and the rivers flowing through it add to the productivity of this fertile land. That is why Punjab produces the best citrus fruit and rice in the world. Pakistan is the largest producer of citrus fruit in the world and the quality of production in this region is one of the finest in the world.

The northern areas of Pakistan are mountainous regions with some of the highest peaks of the world in the Himalayan ranges including the second highest mountain peak of the world that is the Mount Goodwin Austin, famously known as the K-2. Murree, a beautiful mountain range was called as the Queen of Mountains in the Colonial era. The Swat, Naraan and Kaghan are some of the most gorgeous valleys in the world and the striking features of high mountains and low valleys with rivers and streams flowing through them are certainly a treat to watch.
