Private Housing Schemes to be Checked by LDA on Delays in Completion of Projects

It has been decided by the Lahore Development Authority to keep a check on the private housing schemes and make them complete their work as per their plan and will also check whether the material being used in these schemes is up to the mark or not. They will form teams of employees who will visit the housing schemes and will ensure that the development work is on time and also that the quality of material that is being used by these societies is appropriate or not.

LDA employees have visited a few under construction schemes recently and made a thorough survey of these places and samples of the material that is being used by these societies in the development of their infrastructure was also collected by them in order to verify it. They were accompanied by the developers of these societies during these visits. The authorities have warned on behalf of LDA that developers must not leave any stone unturned in guaranteeing the on time completion of these approved plans or will have to face the music as LDA might think of putting the mortgaged plots on auction for recovering the revenues in this regard.

General public was also warned about those schemes that were not approved by LDA and were told not to buy any such property that was not approved by LDA or was allocated for graveyards, schools, parks or any public interest land as in such cases their plots will not have legal protection.
